2666: A Novel

The book covers a vast array of characters and settings, including academics, convicts, an American sportswriter, and an elusive German novelist, as they intersect in the urban sprawl of SantaTeresa—a fictional representation of Ciudad Juárez, on the U.S.-Mexico border, where hundreds of young factory workers have disappeared.
